High Protein

The High Protein edit is for moments when the protein number per serving matters most. Every sample record here lists 20g of protein or more per serving: ready-to-drink shakes, scoopable powders, breakfast mixes and the densest bar in the preview. Big protein numbers often come with bigger portions, so calories, protein per 100 calories and price per serving sit beside every figure.

How to choose a high protein pick

  • Grams per serving — The headline figure. This edit starts at 20g per serving.

  • The calories that come with it — Two products with similar protein can differ by more than 100 calories per serving, so read both numbers together.

  • Cost per 25g of protein — Powders usually cost the least per gram of protein; ready-to-drink shakes and bars cost more for the convenience.

  • Preparation — A bottled shake is ready now, a powder needs a shaker and a pancake mix needs a pan.

Questions

How much protein counts as high protein?

There is no single rule for snacks and foods. This edit uses 20g or more per serving as its cut-off, based on the figures in each sample record.

Is more protein per serving always better?

Not on its own. A bigger serving can carry more protein and more calories. Compare protein per 100 calories and choose what fits your day. This is general information, not dietary advice.

How is this different from the Protein / Calorie edit?

High Protein ranks the total grams in a serving. Protein / Calorie ranks how much protein you get for each calorie, which favours lighter products such as clear drinks and jerky.
